This I believe summary and response

This I believe summary and response was a fun starter project that helped me understand how to create future summary and responses. It was also fun to see what people believed in and just reading multiple stores. 


 One This I believe essay that really caught my attention was written by Cecile Gilmer called “The People Who Love You When No One Else Will". Gilmer wrote about how Barbra and Roland took her in when she was living in a cramped motel with her dad. She then goes on to explain how they took care of her for seven years before she went to college. The interesting part was that Barbra and Roland kept her room the same for the four years she was at school waiting for her to come back as if she was their kid. Another part was how she had her guard up and did not believe people could help her and take care of her, but Barbra and Roland changed her mind and that is something I really enjoyed about reading this story. Cecile Gilmer had a terrific way of drawing my attention and expressing how she felt. 

As I was reading Cecile Gilmer “The People Who Love You When No One Else Will" I could not stop to think how I can relate to a lot of things she is talking about. For example, How Barbra and Roland took care of Cecile and treated her as their own kid. That alone got me thinking about how my stepdad was with me when I was just a couple of months old. As time passed, he got together with my mom and he raised me as I was his kid and showed me love even though has not my blood. Cecile Gilmer had a fantastic way of connecting with her audience and I really enjoy reading something I can relate to.

Polished Draft Project One (Ponte Pas Pilas)

  I had to create this I believe essay so I  started off by talking about how I would always get in trouble at school. I liked this project because it brought back old memories and allowed me to share it with my class. We also had to look over our classmate's essays and seeing how they put theirs together helped me with mine. This essay also helped me organize my past present and future and just better my understanding of how touse my HOC and LOCS. Ponte  L as  P il a s       Ponte las  pilas   is a famous saying in the Hispanic culture.  Ponte las piles  means you need to “put on your batteries” metaphorically speaking.
